EVEN MORE GOLFER TIPS FROM CADDY KIT

It’s pretty intriguing how we can sometimes be at the will of our nerves. One minute, all is well. Everything is in sync, and it feels like nothing can go wrong. Then you have a bad swing that can’t quite recover from, and they set in: the golf jitters.

Every good golfer knows this moment. In fact, most fields that require a skill on command are susceptible to stage fright. That’s basically what it is. Whether through fear or frustration, this terrible feeling can put a dark cloud over the game. So how do you combat the golf jitters?

A GOOD NIGHT’S REST

One way to ensure that you’ll have a successful game is to get plenty of rest the night before. There’s nothing worse than coming into a game zapped of your energy. Adequate sleep allows for supreme focus and concentration, making your golf game better.

To the casual observer, golf may seem like it requires little physical exertion. It is true that it doesn’t take the physical toll of something like football or basketball. But there are effects from consistently executing a solid form. Soreness, fatigue, and more can happen with ease. Stretching and a good night’s rest can help to alleviate some of those stresses.

WHAT’S IN YOUR KITCHEN

Diet can also have an impact on your game. The average golf game lasts anywhere from 3 to 4 hours or longer depending on the circumstances. This requires endurances. Certain foods are shown to cause lethargy after consuming. Fried and processed foods, refined and added sugars, etc. Try for some healthier options before hitting the green. Fruits, vegetables, and consistent water intake are always great options. They’ll likely help with focus and keep you going longer.

Another big consideration is staying hydrated. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after the game. Often you’ll be spending long stretches in the sun, so it’s important that you stay healthy!

STAY ACTIVE

Golf itself is a great example of physical activity. As stated earlier, your golf swing requires a full body motion. With that said, if you aren’t as active otherwise you can hurt yourself. Nobody wants any sprains or pulled muscles, especially if you’re early in the game.

We recommend stretching and some consistent physical activity that your limits allow. This will make your time across the green all the more pleasant! The game allows for peace, camaraderie, and so much more. At Caddy Kit, we’re excited to introduce a line of products that takes this experience to the next level.
